Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School hold 139th graduation of officers
On May 9, 139th ceremonial graduation of officers of the Ryazan Higher Airborne Command School named after Army General V.F. Margelov took place.
This year, about 460 lieutenants graduated from the walls of the renowned school. The gold epaulettes of the officers were dressed, including 14 girls and 58 representatives of foreign countries from near and far abroad, representing Belarus, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Mali, Nicaragua, Angola, Afghanistan, Niger, Congo, and Kombodzha.
Colonel General Yuri Sadovenko, Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation - Head of the Office of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Yunus-Bek Evkurov and Commander of the Airborne Forces Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov handed diplomas with honors to the best graduates of the school.
This year, 8 graduates graduated from the school with a gold medal, and 102 officers with honors.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Colonel General Yuri Sadovenko read to the graduates, command and teachers of the school congratulations from the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.
"The acquired knowledge and skills allow you to fully solve the tasks of strengthening the defence capability of Russia, to serve with honor in high-tech Armed Forces capable of protecting the national interests of the country,” the congratulation of the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation emphasizes.
At the end of the congratulation, Colonel General Yuri Sadovenko, on behalf of the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, expressed sincere gratitude to the teachers and veterans who brought up and trained a new generation of patriots of the Motherland and defenders of the Fatherland.
