The airborne troops team has consolidated its leadership following the results of three special tasks of the all-army stage of the "Elbrus ring" competition


According to the results of the third special task of the all-army stage of the competition "Elbrus ring", which is held at the "Terskol" center for mountain training and survival of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation in the Kabardino-Balkar Republic, the team of airborne troops has strengthened its leadership.

In climbing in pairs, the airborne team earned 923 points, the team of the Eastern Military District showed the second result-903 points, and the unit of the Southern Military District – the third place, scoring 732 points.

Each team was represented by two pairs of military personnel. The best time in climbing in a pairs was shown by the team of the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School. Private Plotnikov and private Gordov completed the task in 8 minutes and 27 seconds.

Representatives of the airborne troops, Sergeant Bondarev and Sergeant Bely, scored 499 points (9 minutes 44 seconds).

After completing three special tasks, the airborne team, having scored 2,598 points, is ahead of the nearest pursuer – the team of the Eastern Military District by 421 points.

In third place, the team of the Southern Military District with a score of 2,090 points.

Team of the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School scored 1,915 points. .

The organizer of the competition is the department of physical training and sports of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

Teams from all military districts, the Northern fleet, the airborne troops, the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School, and the National guard of the Russian Federation participate in the competition.

The competition will be held from July 22 to August 4, 2020 as part of the all-army stage of the "Elbrus ring" competition.

This competition has been held since 2015, the sixth competition in a row.
