The Airborne Troops team leads after five special missions at the Elbrus Ring 2020 competition in Kabardino-Balkaria

The Airborne Troops team is leading after five special tasks at the all-Russian stage of the Elbrus Ring 2020 competition, which takes place at the Terskol Mountain Training and Survival Centre in Kabardino-Balkaria.

According to the results of the first stage of the competition, the Airborne Troops team won in the overall standings with 4,209 points. In second place is the Eastern Military District (3,848 points), in third - the Southern Military District (3,805 points).

At the first stage of the competition, the servicemen showed their skills in individual climbing on artificial terrain, orienteering in mountainous terrain, then the participants again conquered the climbing wall, only this time in bundles.

They will also cross an obstacle course made up of descents and ascents along mountain slopes, a destroyed bridge, a mounted Tyrolean traverse etc. Then the participants of the Elbrus Ring went through the fifth special task - shooting as part of a group. Under the terms of the competition, personnel wears uniform and is equipped with standard weapons.

The closing ceremony will take place on August 4, 2020.
