Colonel-General Andrey Serdyukov, Commander of the Airborne troops, will award the winners of the “Airborne Platoon" contest
Today, the Commander of the Airborne troops, Colonel-General Andrey Serdyukov, will make a working trip to the formations, military units and institutions of the Airborne troops.
During the work, Colonel-General Andrey Serdyukov will take part in the closing ceremony of the international competition "Airborne Platoon", held within the framework of the army international games 2020, which will be held at the "Zavelichye" training ground Pskov guards amphibious assault unit.
At the end of the event, the Commander of the airborne troops will meet with the heads of foreign delegations, winners and prize-winners of the prestigious competition.
More than 200 participants took part in the international stage of the "Airborne Platoon" competition, consisting of 11 teams.
The competition was held in four stages.
At the first stage, the teams carried out a landing as part of a platoon and made a march of 10 km.
In the second stage, they competed in an individual race on combat vehicles with live shooting, overcame natural and artificial obstacles, and participated in a biathlon as part of a platoon, with shooting from small arms and grenade launchers (without crews of combat vehicles).
During the third stage, they participated in the pursuit race on combat vehicles and carried out orientation as part of the departments.
At the final stage, the soldiers competed in overcoming the obstacle course, shooting from various small arms, made individual jumps for accuracy and identified the best in hand-to-hand combat
