The Airborne Troops presented a unique concert program at the Spasskaya Tower festival
Yesterday ended the XIII International Military Music Festival "Spasskaya Tower", which was held on Cathedral Square in front of the Main Cathedral of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
For the first time, the combined military band of the Airborne Troops took part in the festival, which, together with the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Airborne Troops of the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School named after General of the Army Margelov (RVVDKU), presented a concert performance dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the Airborne Troops.
The program, prepared by the chief conductor - head of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Airborne Troops, Lieutenant Colonel Vladislav Tverdy, sounded "The Song of the Paratroopers" from the legendary Soviet film "In the Zone of Special Attention".
At the end of the performance under the march on the theme of Bulat Okudzhava's song "We need one victory", the cadets of the honor guard of the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne Command School carried the flag of the Airborne Troops with an area of more than 1,200 square meters to Cathedral Square.
Musical compositions of the combined military orchestra of the Airborne Troops were accompanied by choreographic numbers of the dance group of the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Airborne Troops and were supported by the choir of paratroopers.
The combined military band of the Airborne Troops is an integral participant in all ceremonial events held in the troops.
Every year, the orchestra's personnel take part in the Victory Parade on Red Square in Moscow, celebrations in the Patriot Park of Culture and Leisure of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the International Army Games, as well as in all significant events held in the Airborne Troops.
