Russian paratroopers who participated in the joint exercise "Slavic brotherhood-2020" are preparing to return from Belarus to Russia
Today, at the railway station in the city of Brest, Russian paratroopers from the Ivanovo airborne formation, who took part in the joint exercise "Slavic brotherhood-2020", began loading military equipment and personnel for departure by military echelon to the point of permanent deployment.
On September 23, a battalion-tactical group from Ivanovo was transferred from the territory of Russia to Belarus by Il-76MD military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS), where it performed a parachute landing.
The closing ceremony of the joint exercise was held at the Brestsky training ground, during which the national anthems of the countries participating in the joint international exercise were played, as well as awards and valuable gifts were presented to the most distinguished military personnel. Paratroopers from the battalion tactical groups of the two countries exchanged souvenirs and shook hands, thanking each other for their joint work.
The joint exercise "Slavic brotherhood-2020", which took place from September 14 to 25 in the territory of the Republic of Belarus, was attended by more than 900 military personnel and involved about 100 units of military and special equipment of the Pskov, Ivanovo and Tula guards airborne formations.
