A battalion of the Ivanovo airborne regiment arrived at the permanent deployment point after participating in the Belarusian-Russian exercise
The first units of Russian paratroopers arrived at the point of permanent deployment at the end of the planned joint Belarusian-Russian tactical exercise "Slavic brotherhood – 2020", held in the period from 14 to 25 September at the Brestsky and Gozhsky ranges in the Republic of Belarus.
Today, a reinforced airborne battalion of the Ivanovo guards airborne regiment arrived at the permanent deployment point in the city of Ivanovo after completing combat training tasks at the exercise.
At the station, the personnel were met by representatives of the command of the Ivanovo airborne formation, the regiment, representatives of local authorities, veterans and public organizations, relatives and friends of the arrived servicemen.
Speaking at a solemn meeting dedicated to the arrival of personnel of the Ivanovo regiment at the end of the exercises "Slavic brotherhood – 2020", commander, guard Major-General Nikolay Choban said: "In the course of the exercise you showed professionalism, persistence and dedication in carrying out combat training tasks that were highly appreciated by the Command of the airborne forces. And they proved that the airborne troops are able to perform any task."
At the end of the solemn events, the personnel began unloading equipment and left for the permanent deployment point.
In the future, units of the Pskov and Tula guards formations of the airborne troops, which also took part in the planned joint Belarusian-Russian tactical exercise "Slavic brotherhood-2020", will arrive at the permanent deployment points.

In total, during the active phase of the Belarusian-Russian exercise "Slavic brotherhood-2020", which took place from September 14 to 25, 2020, more than 900 servicemen of the Pskov, Ivanovo and Tula guards formations of the airborne troops took part.
