Servicemen of the Russian military base in Abkhazia hold the first preliminaries of the Sniper Frontier contest
The servicemen of the Russian military base in Abkhazia, in preparation for the International Army Games 2020, held the first preliminaries of the Sniper Frontier contest.
Particular attention was paid to training tactics within sniper pairs and groups, improvised camouflaging of fire positions.
During the competition at the Gudauta training ground, snipers practiced various fire tasks, for example, a difficult exercise - sniper shooting at a distance of 100 m from an unprepared Dragunov rifle at a target the size of a tennis ball, as well as shooting at 500 meters at the chest target for the maximum number of hits.
Since the beginning of December, in preparation for the preliminaries, military personnel during shooting training held about 20 control firing exercises, including at night using night sights, hitting targets at distances from 100 to 800 m.
According to the results of the competition, the best base snipers will take part in the second stage of the competition among the most trained snipers.
