Western MD dog handlers to hold True Friend competition in online format
Dog handlers of the Western Military District will participate at the district stage of the All-Army Competition True Friend along with their pets at a training ground in the Vladimir Region.
Interactive refereeing of the teams will become a feature of conducting competitions on the “dog-biathlon” track, as well as an obstacle course and official training. On the track, participants will start with a difference of 20 minutes and exclusively as part of their team.
Referees will evaluate the results of each of the stages of the on-line competition using ground and air broadcast cameras.
To ensure technical capabilities, military signalmen of the Western Military District use equipment from the mobile video broadcasting complex, as well as the Auriga satellite communications station.
In total, it is planned to involve about 50 servicemen from the aviation, tank, combined-arms formations, and fleet of the district.
The competition will last for a week, the winner will present his military district at the All-Army competitions in the training centre for dog breeding in Moscow Region.
