A solemn procession was held at the Russian military base in Tajikistan
A solemn procession dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war took place on the territory of the 201st Russian military base stationed in Tajikistan.
On the parade ground, officers, sergeants and soldiers marched to the accompaniment of a military band. Military musicians performed works that sounded at the Victory parade on June 25, 1945: "Holy war", marches "All higher!", "Triumph of the victors" and others. For veterans of the Great Patriotic war from Tajikistan, military personnel conducted a tour in the museum of military glory of the 201st Gatchina motorized rifle division. During the tour, the front-line soldiers were told about the formation and combat path of the division that took part in the liberation and defense of the cities of Gatchina, Pizhma, Luga, Narva, Riga and others against the Nazis.
During the celebrations, a set of sanitary and anti-epidemic measures was planned to prevent the spread of infectious diseases. Units of NBC protection carried out disinfection of places of construction of the military personnel. All military personnel were closely monitored by military medics and provided with personal protective equipment – medical masks and antiseptics.
The 201st Russian military base stationed in Tajikistan is the Russia's largest military formation outside its borders. It is located in two cities – Dushanbe and Bokhtar. According to the agreement dated October 2012, the base shall station in Tajikistan until 2042.
