Anti-aircraft gunners of the Southern Military District in the mountains of Abkhazia repelled an attack of combat drones
Anti-aircraft units of the Russian military base of the Southern Military District in Abkhazia at the Tsabal training ground repelled an unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attack of a mock enemy on a military hardware convoy.
A mechanized column of motorized rifle units of a military base on the march was attacked by combat drones. To destroy the UAV, the battalion tactical group commander assigned the task to the assigned air defence unit to destroy the mock enemy. The crews of the Tunguska anti-aircraft guns hit all targets.
In addition, the anti-aircraft gunners destroyed targets imitating ground attack aircraft and enemy helicopters using Igla portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS). Various types of targets were located at a distance of up to 3 km.
About 1,000 servicemen are involved in the bilateral tactical exercise at the Tsabal training ground, over 300 units of military and special equipment are involved.
