The artillery units of the Land Forces continue to receive self-propelled howitzers Msta-SM
The missile and artillery units of the Land Forces continue to receive modern modernized Msta-SM self-propelled howitzers with the Ring automated fire control systems that ensure integration into a single tactical echelon control system.
The Msta-SM self-propelled artillery mount is designed to destroy strategic military targets, destroy artillery and mortar batteries, armoured vehicles, anti-tank weapons, and enemy manpower.
Target selection and gun guidance can be carried out both with the help of a special automated control system from the battery commander's control room, and directly in the fighting compartment of the vehicle. Guided and unguided high-explosive fragmentation shells can be used for firing.
