Military personnel of the combined arms army of the Western Military District (WMD) have started the first stage of preparation for the Army Games-2021 competitions at the training grounds of the Voronezh, Belgorod, Smolensk, Bryansk and Kursk regions.
Special attention will be paid to the training of crews to participate in the "Tank biathlon" and "Suvorov attack" competitions, as well as in the new "Meridian" competitions for specialists of the military topographic service and "Tactical shooter", which is based on elements of army tactical shooting from various small arms.
The first stage of training of tankers and motorized infantry includes the training of crews of combat vehicles and tanks using the BMP-2 weapons system and T-72B3 and T-72BA tanks. In the course of training, military personnel work out the defeat of mobile and static equipment of a mock enemy from various distances - from 300 to 1200 meters. The purpose of this stage of training is a preliminary assessment of the professional skills of the crews of combat vehicles and tanks to further identify weaknesses and identify the best teams to participate in the army stage of the Army Games-2021 competitions.
