The best crews of the 58th army of the SMD were determined to participate in the district stage of the competition Suvorov attack in Chechnya
The second qualifying stage of the Suvorov attack competition among motorized rifle platoons of the 58th combined arms army of the Southern Military District (SMD) has ended at the Gvardeets training ground in Chechnya.
During the competition, the best of the 10 motorized rifle platoons of the SMD, deployed in the republics of North Ossetia, Chechnya, Dagestan and South Ossetia, were selected. The competition was attended by the crews of infantry fighting vehicles BMP-2 and BMP-3, armored personnel carriers BTR-82A.
Teams of motorized rifle units performed a march in full gear, a series of control exercises on fire training from small arms and grenade launchers, and also overcame an obstacle course.
The crews of the combat vehicles passed obstacles on the high-difficulty track with a total length of about 7 km and hit emerging and moving targets at ranges from 900 to 2200 m.
In a difficult struggle, the winners were motorized infantry from the military unit of the 58th army of the SMD, stationed in the locality of Shali in Chechnya. The team from North Ossetia took an honorable second place. The third place was taken by servicemen from the military unit stationed in the village of Kalinovskaya (Chechnya). The winners of the competition will represent the 58th army of the SMD at the district stage of the competition.
In total, more than 300 military personnel of the SMD took part in the qualifying stage, about 50 units of weapons and military equipment were involved.
