Black Sea Fleet frigate Admiral Essen leaves Sevastopol and sails towards the Medditerranean Sea
In accordance with the combat training plan, the frigate Admiral Essen of the Black Sea Fleet left Sevastopol and headed for the Black Sea straits.
After the passage of the Black Sea straits, the ship will operate as part of the permanent grouping of the Russian Navy in the long-range operational zone.
The crew of the frigate conducted various exercises in accordance with the training courses of surface ships of the Navy when preparing for the mission.
The frigate Admiral Essen on arrival in the Mediterranean Sea will replace the frigate Admiral Makarov, which has been performing tasks in the far operational zone since November 2018.
