Northern Fleet divers make a record metal cutting during the Depth 2019 contest
Participants of the Depth 2019 all-army stage competition completed their participation in the preliminaries held as part of the International Army Games 2019. The final contest in the competition program was technical underwater works on the results of metal.
The record of the competition was set by the divers of the Northern Fleet, performing a continuous cut of metal 5mm thick 88 cm long.
In 2019, the Depth competition program includes eight special exercises. / The most technically complicated are: to assist the surface ship when the hull breach, maintaining the life of the submarine lying on the ground, underwater cutting and welding of metal. More simple and understandable - search of objects at depth, assembly of metal structures, first aid to an injured diver, speed swimming and underwater combat.
