Open Water 2019 preliminaries kicks off at Baltic Fleet
More than 100 servicemen of engineering units and over 20 units of engineering equipment of the Baltic Fleet are involved in the Open Water 2019 preliminaries among pontoon units.
The competition program for military engineers, which takes place on the Pregolya River in the Kaliningrad Region, is very similar to the relay in water sports and includes seven individual stages.
Their participants will remove debris and mine-explosive barriers, pave the way for vehicles and military equipment, and finally build a crossing over the water.
The total length of the relay is about two kilometers.
