The military parade to commemorate the 75 anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war took place in Sevastopol
The military parade to commemorate the 75 anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war took place in Sevastopol on June 24. It included the foot crews of the Sevastopol garrison troops, the flyover of the aviation and passage of the Great Patriotic war historical military equipment and modern mechanized column.
The celebration started in Sevastopol bay with the passage of the Commander-in-Chief of the Black Sea Fleet Vice-Admiral Igor Osipov on the both along the warships lined up for the parade and greeting them with the solemn date.
During the parade the crews passed the honorable stage saluting the veterans. The parade crews included: staff officers of the Black Sea Fleet command, Crimea naval base warship crews, Naval aviation and air-defence personnel, army corps units servicemen, SMD fighter aviation air force and anti-aircraft regiment servicemen, Nahimov Black sea Highest Naval Institute cadets, National guard and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia crews and also the combined crew of the All-Russia "Yunarmiya" National Military Patriotic Social Movement Association. Also after 5 years break the parade was joined by the combined crew of woman personnel of the Black Sea Fleet.
The mechanized column composed of almost 90 pieces of military equipment included vehicles of the Great Patriotic war time and the flyover included 26 aircraft.
In total about 5000 servicemen of the Black Sea Fleet participated the celebrations to commemorate the 75 anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war in the city-heroes Sevastopol, Kerch, Novorossiysk and capital of Crimea – Simferopol.
