Minesweeper of the Black Sea Fleet Vice-Admiral Zakharyin has completed mine action in the Mediterranean Sea
The crew of the Black Sea Fleet minesweeper Vice-Admiral Zakharyin, performing tasks as part of the permanent group of the Navy in the Mediterranean Sea, within the framework of planned combat training, practiced mine action in the water area of the ship basing point.
During the training, the crew searched for mines in the designated sea area using various types of contact and non-contact trawls.
Along with practicing tasks for their intended purpose, military sailors conducted ship exercises on damage control, anti-aircraft and anti-sabotage defence of the ship during the transition by sea and when parked in an unprotected roadstead.
The naval minesweeper Vice-Admiral Zakharyin has been performing tasks as part of a permanent grouping of naval ships in the Mediterranean since June 2020.
