Ships of the Baltic fleet performed artillery firing at sea
In accordance with the fleet's combat training plan, the ship's strike group consisting of the corvettes "Boyky" and "Steregushchy" in the ranges located in the Baltic sea, fired artillery complexes at sea targets simulating warships and repelled an air raid of a mock enemy.
The crews of the ships of the Baltic fleet in the framework of the planned exercises held a drawing of an artillery battle with surface ships of the mock enemy, and also to conducted the fight with a single ship, after the execution of firing all types of naval artillery at a special target-shield.
During the repulse of the air attack in the training battle, front-line Su-24M bombers of the naval aviation of the fleet were involved, which acted as aircraft and cruise missiles of the attacking conditional enemy. It was used to target the ship's electronic air defense systems. Then artillery crews hit conditional targets in the air.
A day earlier, the crews of the corvettes "Boyky" and "Steregushchy" worked out the tasks of searching, detecting and destroying the submarine of a mock enemy.
