Ships of the Caspian flotilla and the Iranian Navy destroyed the naval forces of the IAF in the framework of the maneuvers "Kavkaz-2020" with artillery fire
During the maneuvers "Kavkaz-2020", the ship's tactical group of the Caspian flotilla and the Navy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, consisting of the "Tatarstan" missile ship, the "Veliky Ustyug" small missile ship, the "Astrakhan" small artillery ship, and the "Joshan" and "Paykan" missile boats, successfully completed artillery firing with standard complexes at sea and air targets of a mock enemy in the Caspian sea.
By elements of combat maneuvering in the group, crews worked out aimed artillery fire at towed sea targets (sea shield) as part of an episode on conducting hostilities with an enemy ship group, as well as an episode on repelling attacks from its air attack weapons.
During the maneuvers, the determination of installations for firing from artillery guns and target designation were carried out by onboard radio-technical weapons systems of ships and coastal observation stations of the Caspian Flotilla.
