The crew of the Black Sea Fleet frigate "Admiral Makarov" conducted air defense training in the Mediterranean sea
The training on the repelling of mock enemy air attack was conducted with the crews of air defense (AD) of the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) frigate "Admiral Makarov". The frigate is performing tasks as a part of the permanent group of ships in the Mediterranean sea.
According to the operational situation, the mock enemy aircraft received data on the location of the frigate at sea and headed for the target for an airstrike with guided missiles.
The mock enemy with the specified characteristics was simulated electronically by the ship's weapons control system.
During the training, the ship's crew of the combat information post detected and classified the conditional target, and the air defense crews destroyed the approaching "plane" before entering the target range with electronic launches of anti-aircraft missiles. Thus preventing the missile from striking the ship.
The air defense training was conducted in accordance with the plan for performing special tasks by the Navy group in the far sea zone.
Earlier, the frigate "Admiral Makarov" as part of a detachment of ships of the Black Sea Fleet conducted a ship exercise to replenish ammunition and food supplies at sea at night.
