Dear participants and guests of the Forum “ARMY-2016”!
The Russian Defence Ministry is holding the International military and technical forum “ARMY-2016” on September 6-11, 2016. Representatives of scientific organizations, corporations of the military industrial complex, and consumers of military and dual purpose services and products from Russia and abroad will participate in the Forum.
Topical issues concerning development of newest technologies and prospective directions in the military field will be discussed in the course of the plenary session, conferences and roundtables. The Forum is taking place in the Congress-exhibition center of the Russian Armed Forces “Patriot”.
This is the largest territory for demonstrating modern samples of armament, military and special hardware. Exhibition pavilions and open-air expositions will be installed at the area of about 140,000 square meters. Conditions for demonstrating running, flight and firing capabilities of armament and military hardware will be established as well.
I am confident that the International military and technical forum “ARMY-2016” will be useful for consolidation of efforts aimed at development of science, industry, production and export of the Russian high-tech military-purpose products and strengthening of international partnership.

The International military and technical forum “Army-2016” is held on September 6-11 in order to improve the image of the Russian Armed Forces, create conditions for successful searching for the advanced technologies and military-purpose products, define opportunities to use them in the interests of the Russian Armed Forces, demonstrate capabilities of scientific organizations and corporations in accordance to the decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dating June 19, 2015 and the order of the Russian Defence Minister dating October 1, 2015.
The Forum will take place in the “Patriot” park of the Russian Armed Forces, Alabino range and Kubinka airfield.
Objectives of the Forum:
- searching for advanced (prospective) technical, technological and other decisions for further implementation in production of armament, military and special hardware;
- developing of military and technical cooperation of the Russian Federation with foreign countries and promoting Russian military-purpose products on the international market;
- improving the image of the Russian Armed Forces and popularize the military service.
Representatives of leading scientific organizations, corporations of the military industrial complex, civilian and military educational and consumers of military and dual purpose services and products from Russia and abroad will participate in the Forum.
The Forum will include exposition, stationary, demonstration and business-scientific programs.
Official foreign delegations are also to participate in the Forum.
