Voluntary training of citizens for military service
Voluntary training of citizens for military service includes:
• military-applied sports practice;
• learning in additional educational programmes (those which aiming at military training of minors in educational institutions of secondary (complete) general education, as well as in military bands of the Russian Federation’s Armed Forces, other Forces, military formations and bodies);
• learning in the programme of military training of reserve officers in military departments of federal state educational institutions of higher vocational education;
• learning in the programme of military training at military training centres of the federal state educational institutions of higher professional education.
Citizens to be called up for military service have the right to be engaged in military-applied sports in public associations, educational institutions, sports clubs and athletics classes regardless of their affiliation.
Herewith, citizens with the category of Candidate Master of Sports, 1st sports category or sports category in a military-applied sport have the preferential right to be enrolled at military educational institutions of vocational education.
These citizens’ sports training is considered by draught boards in determining the Service and Arm of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as well as other Forces, military formations and bodies, wherein they’d do their military service under conscription.
