Born on July 30, 1963 in the village of Tarskoye, Prigorodny District, North Ossetian ASSR, Soviet Union.
In the Armed Forces since 1982. In 1989 he graduated from the Ryazan Airborne Command school, in 1997 – The military Academy named after M. V. Frunze, in 2004 – the Military Academy of the RF Armed Forces’ General Staff.
He served in various command capacities in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. Since 2004, the Chief of Intelligence - Deputy Chief of Staff of the Volga-Urals Military District (Yekaterinburg).
In 2008-2019 – Head of the Republic of Ingushetia.
By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of July 2019, he has been appointed Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation.
Hero of the Russian Federation.
Holder of the Order of Alexander Nevsky, Order of Military Merit.
Married and has five children.
