Biography

Born on April 16, 1962 in Borskoye, Kaliningrad region.

In 1987 graduated from the Higher Naval School of Radioelectronics named after A.Popov (Saint Petersburg).

As an officer, he had served for many years in nuclear submarines of the Northern Fleet from combat element group engineer to missile submarine commander, submarine force commander and submarine forces commander.

In 2003 graduated with distinction from the Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union N. Kuznetsov.

In 2011 graduated with distinction and medal from the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

On May 3, 2019, Moiseyev was appointed the Commander of the Northern Fleet by a decree of the President of the Russian Federation.

On February 14, 2011, he was awarded the title of Hero of the Russian Federation with the highest distinction, Gold Star medal, for courage and heroism shown in the line of duty.

Awarded two orders of Courage, Order for Military Merit, Medal of the Order For Merit to the Fatherland II class, as well as ministerial awards and medals.
