The Russian Minister of Defense discussed the perspectives of the military-technical cooperation with his colleague from the Republic of South Africa
Today the Russian Minister of Defense General of the Army Sergei Shoigu met the RSA Minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs Nosivive Mapisa-Nqakula arrived to Russia to visit IV Moscow Conference on International Security.
During the course of talks the Chief of the Russian military department stated that Russia and RSA have a big potential for military and military-technical cooperation.
“We assess our cooperation in the military sphere as highly perspective. Again we have a very good potential in the sphere of military education and military-technical cooperation,” said General of the Army Sergei Shoigu.
The Minister of Defense underlined that it is envisaged that common scientific-technical trials, scientific-research and R&D works will be carried out.
“The most important is the soonest conversion of existing agreements to real projects. I’m sure that our latest military cooperation results will have future progress,” highlighted the Chief of the Russian defense department.
The RSA Minister of Defense ensured that she and some of her Generals will come to Moscow to visit the military parade in honour of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
“We value our relations with your country and South Africa will never forget that was done for our country by the Russian people and the government,” said Mapisa Nqakula.
