Meeting of the heads of military departments of Russia and China took place in Moscow
The meeting was held within the IV Moscow Conference on International Security which is held upon the initiative of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
According to the Head of the Russian military department General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, “development of relationships with the People’s Republic of China – is our overriding priority”.
“In conditions of instable situation strengthening of good neighbour relations between our countries will ensure peace and stability on the Eurasian continent,” underlined Sergei Shoigu having mentioned familiarity of the Russian and the Chinese approaches with the issues of international security.
The Chief of the Russian military department noted that “Russia is satisfied with the level of joint exercises held last year. This year we also plan to hold exercises since they receive such global character”.
According to Sergei Shoigu, all activities planned by Russia and China last year are completed.
In his turn, Chang Wanquan emphasized that the leaderships of Russia and China “have laid the solid foundations” for further development of relationships between the both states.
He reassured that the Military department of China is ready to continue close relationships and develop cooperation with its partners from Russia.
