India hopes to intensify cooperation and strategic partnership with Russia

India hopes to intensify the cooperation and the strategic partnership with Russia in the future. This was announced by the First Deputy Defence Secretary of the Republic of India Ajay Kumar after the meeting with the Deputy Chief of the Russian military institution Colonel General Alexander Fomin at the venue of the Moscow Conference on International Security.

'I have emphasised the long strategic relationship between India and Russia, and we hope to continue and to intensify this relationship in the following years', said Ajay Kumar.

According to him, during the Conference, he shared the experience in fighting against the pandemic that the Indian Armed Forces possess, and 'that industrial and innovative ecosystem created by India in order to fight against the pandemic and given without hesitation to a lot of countries around the world'.

During the bilateral meeting, Alexander Fomin and Ajay Kumar discussed the relevant issues on the bilateral cooperation in military and military-technical areas.

The meeting has been held in a warm and friendly atmosphere in a spirit of privileged strategic partnership.
