The Defence Minister checked the international mine action center in the Moscow suburb of Nakhabino
Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu visited the international mine action center of the Russian Armed Forces in Nakhabino, near Moscow, where he checked its training base, as well as the training of sappers.
The head of the military Department was shown training classes, including for training specialists in improvised explosive devices, and a training complex. Sergey Shoigu got acquainted with the town of humanitarian demining, where military personnel train to find and determine the depth of buried engineering ammunition, as well as the town of mine search dogs.
In addition, representatives of the center told Minister of Defence that it is now popular among terrorists to mine items that are used in everyday life and attract attention. The training complex features booby-trapped toys, coffee cans, books, cameras and extension cords.
