Russian and Indian parties agree on “Indra Navy-2015” joint exercise scenario
The Russian-side Chief of the Russian-Indian “Indra Navy-2015” exercise, Deputy Commander of the Pacific Fleet Vice Admiral Andrei Ryabuhin and Commander of the Pacific Fleet ship formation Rear Admiral Alexander Yuldashev have met with their Indian counterparts, the Indian Navy Eastern Fleet Commander Rear Admiral S. Bhokare and the Indian Navy Commander of the Eastern Naval Command Vice Admiral S. Sonni.
Both sides defined the drills scenario, boarding teams’ coordination procedure, communications organization, the plan of gun fire execution and other exercises which involve the employment of different types of ship weapon systems.
Moreover, Russian and Indian boarding teams practiced joint actions at the Boris Butoma and Shakti tankers.
The ships’ commanders were instructed on the cooperation procedures for the upcoming drills.
The active phase will take place on December 10-12 in the area of the Bay of Bengal.
