Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Myanmar will visit Russia this summer

Today in course of the VI Moscow Conference on International Security, Deputy Defence Minister Lieutenant General Alexander Fomin had a meeting with Deputy Defence Minister of Myanmar Rear Admiral Myint Nwe.

During the discussion, Deputy Defence Minister stated that the Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces Senior General Min Aung Hlaing was to visit Russia this summer.

"We see good prospects of cooperation in military and military-technical fields according to the upcoming official visit of the Commander-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to Russia this summer," said Lieutenant General Alexander Fomin.

According to him, all of the Commanders-in-Chief of the Myanmar Armed Forces visited Russia last year.

Deputy Defence Minister of Russia thanked the Supreme Military-Political Leadership of Myanmar for its active position on the development of military and military-technical cooperation with Russia.
