Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu invited military servicemen of the Republic of Niger to get familiarized with mine-action experience of Russian Armed Forces in Syria
Today, the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation General of the Army Sergei Shoigu has met Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Niger Kalla Moutari in course of the Army 2017 International Military Technical Forum.
The head of the Russian military department and the Minister of the National Defence of Niger have signed a bilateral military cooperation agreement.
According to General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, these important documents will promote further improvement of cooperation as well as strengthening of Armed Forces of two countries in fighting against international terrorism.
In his turn, Kalla Moutari expressed his hope that the agreement will become a basis for new relations between the countries.
General of the Army Sergei Shoigu also invited the delegation of Niger to visit the International Mine Action Centre and get acquainted with experience of the Russian Armed Forces in Syria.
“Large work is being done in Syria. I suppose that you know that the Centre carries out not only mine-action operation but training of specialists as well,” said the Defence Minister of Russia.
According to the National Defence Minister of Niger, people in his country know and highly assess activity of Russia in the field of fighting against terrorism.
