The opening ceremony of Russian-Indian international Indra-2017 exercise held in Vladivostok
The opening ceremony of Russian-Indian international Indra-2017 exercise was held in Vladivostok at the Pacific Fleet sea sports station on October 20.
Representatives of the Pacific Fleet command, Eastern military district, Indian Armed Forces, ship, marine, motorized infantry and air crews and detachments, honour guard and Pacific fleet orchestra participated in the event.
After the ceremonial lift of Russian and Indian flags and performance of state hymns there was conducted a meeting. During the greeting speeches Lieutenant General Sergey Solomatin and Major General Nudurupati Durga Prasad wished the military personnel successful cooperation on the training grounds and in the sea and expressed confidence that Indra-2017 exercise will gradually strengthen the Russian-Indian mutual cooperation.
The opening ceremony was finished by EMD AF and AD Su-35S fighter quad flight over Amur bay sea zone.
