Bulletin of the Russian Defence Ministry on implementation of the Memorandum on creation of de-escalation zones (December 9, 2017)
Control groups continue monitoring the ceasefire compliance within the implementation of the Memorandum on the de-escalation zones in the Syrian Arab Republic, which had been signed by the Russia, Turkey, and Iran on May 4, 2017.
Situation in the de-escalation zones is assessed as stable.
Over the last 24 hours, the Russian party of the Russia-Turkey Commission on violations of the Joint Agreement has registered six cases of firing in the provinces of Aleppo (5) and Homs (1).
The Turkish side has registered three cases of ceasefire violations in the province of Damascus.
Most cases of unselective firing from small arms have been registered in the areas controlled by insurgents of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist grouping.
Humanitarian aid provided to the Syrian population
Over the last 24 hours the Russian Centre for reconciliation of opposing sides has held three humanitarian actions in Serbes, Aleppo province, Khanasir, Latakia province, and Khatlah, Deir ez-Zor province.
Citizens have received 5.1 tons of food supplies.
Total number of humanitarian actions is 1,701 with a total weight of cargo delivered – 2,341.8 tons.
Over the last 24 hours, medical aid has been provided to 27 citizens.
In total, 66,657 people have received medical aid.
Reconciliation of opposing sides
Over the last 24 hours, one ceasefire agreement has been signed with representatives of Burj Izzawi, Aleppo province.
Total number of settlements that had signed reconciliation agreements is 2,303.
Negotiations on joining ceasefire regime have been continued with field commanders of detachments of armed opposition in the Aleppo, Damascus, Homs, Hama, and al-Quneitra provinces.
Over the las 24 hours, one application has been signed with a leader of an illegal armed formation in the de-escalation zone No. 1.The number of armed formations, which have claimed to observe the ceasefire regime, reached 234.
