Central Military District Aviation receives two Su-34 multi-role fighters under State Defence Order
The Central Military District has received two Su-34 multi-role fighter jets. The aircraft are accepted from the Novosibirsk Aviation Plant, now they are being transferred to the Lipetsk Aircraft Staff Training and Testing Centre of the Russian Defence Ministry. Pilots will be there retrained for the new type of aviation equipment.
Su-34 aircraft will be stationed at the Shagol military airfield in the Chelyabinsk Region.
The Central Military District has received 10 Su-34 bombers this year for the first time. Thus, Chelyabinsk pilots have adopted 12 pieces of aviation equipment according to the State Defence Order.
The Su-34 is designed to engage both ground and air targets of the enemy around the clock in any weather conditions. The aircraft uses air-to-surface and air-to-air guided weapons. The range of the Su-34 is up to 4,000 km, maximum speed is up to 1900 km / h, the combat load is up to 8 tons. The noise level of the Su-34 is two times lower than the level of its predecessors.
