Baltic Fleet attack groups train to engage a sea group
In the Baltic Fleet's training zones, two naval attack groups made up of the small-size missile ships Serpukhov, Zeleny Dol, Passat and Liven successfully performed electronic rocket launches on targets imitating a squad of mock enemy warships, as well as on coastal targets located at a considerable distance.
All the targets were successfully engaged.
Having completed their fire missions, the crews conducted a series of training sessions - damage control, anti-sabotage defence, organization of interaction and communication between the ships, elements of joint navigation.
The Baltic Fleet's combat training activities take place amid the NATO naval exercises BALTOPS 2019 kicked off on Sunday, June 9 in the Baltic Sea. They are attended by 18 NATO-countries, involved 44 warships, 40 airplanes and helicopters, as well as about 12,000 troops.
