More than 200 pieces of modern hardware of Central Military District will be involved in the Tsentr 2019 maneuvers
Units of the Central Military District have received more than 200 pieces of modern military and special harware.
Modern missile and artillery systems, modernized helicopters and aircraft, reconnaissance and communications stations will be presented at the main maneuvers of this year. It was announced by Commander of the Central Military District Lieutenant General Alexander Lapin.
Earlier it was reported that on the eve of preparations for the Tsentr 2019 maneuvers, the army aviation unit in the Sverdlovsk region received 6 upgraded Mi-24 attack helicopters.
In total, by the end of the year more than 500 of the newest armaments and military equipment will be received by the district troops.
The maneuvers involved in total over 128,000 servicemen, over 20,000 pieces of hardware, some 600 aircraft and up to 15 ships.
The main episodes will take place from September 16 to 21 at six combined training grounds located in the Orenburg, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan, Astrakhan and Kemerovo regions, in Dagestan and the Altai Territory, as well as in the Caspian Sea.
Military contingents from China, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are involved in the exercises.
