All the forces and resources involved successfully coped with the tasks set.
"The Ministry of Defenсe not only takes measures to prevent a new coronavirus infection in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, but also on behalf of the Supreme Commander — in-Chief helps a number of countries in the fight against this threat," Sergei Shoigu recalled.
The joint unit of the Ministry of Defenсe continues to provide assistance to the Italian Republic.

Turning to the thematic part of the teleconference, the Defence Minister proposed to discuss the ongoing work on the modernization of the Tu-160 and Tu-95MS strategic missile carriers, as well as the resumption of production of Tu-160 aircraft.
The head of the military Department said that currently JSC "Tupolev" together with industrial enterprises solves the problem of extending the service life and improving the efficiency of aircraft avionics. At the same time, the Kazan aviation plant is working to restore production of new Tu-160 aircraft and manufacture their installation batch.
Then the teleconference reviewed the preparations for the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic war.
Work continues to preserve the historical memory of the war and to counteract the falsification of the meaning of Victory, Sergei Shoigu noted, serious scientific forces, military archives, museums, and mass media are involved in this work.
"And of course, our civic duty is to take care of veterans. We have repeatedly said this, and I would like to stress once again that every veteran should be given maximum attention and constant support," the Defence Minister added.
At the end of the thematic part of the meeting, the issue of serviceability of training aircraft of the Aerospace Forces was considered.
"I would like to note that a lot of work is being done to improve it and, most importantly, it is effective. If in September last year the troops were ready to operate about 50% of the total number of training aircraft, now these aircraft are almost 90%. This number will allow us to provide high-quality training of cadets-pilots this year, " the head of the military Department said.
