Minister of Defence of the Russia Federation hands over to his Kazakh counterpart archival documents on the contribution of the people of the republic to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War
The Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, handed over to the head of the military department of Kazakhstan, Lieutenant General Nurlan Yermekbayev, archival documents on the contribution of the people of the republic to the defeat of the enemy during the Great Patriotic War.
In addition, Sergei Shoigu handed over to his colleague archival materials about the Hero of the Soviet Union, the first minister of defence of Kazakhstan, General of the Army Sagadat Nurmagombetov.
"Many thanks. Very valuable material for us," - Nurlan Yermekbayev replied, stressing that 2020 is the year of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and recalling that in June, a unit of the Kazakh troops took part in a military parade on Red Square.
The Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, in turn, recalled that the head of the military department of Kazakhstan in September visited the Memory Road museum complex in the Moscow region.
“This is the place where the names and photographs of all participants in the Great Patriotic War are concentrated. We are grateful for such an active participation in the creation of the Memory Road,” stressed Sergei Shoigu.
