Military medics of the Southern Military District continue to receive patients with COVID-19 in a mobile multidisciplinary hospital around the clock
Military doctors of the Southern Military District continue to receive patients and conduct medical and diagnostic activities in a mobile multidisciplinary hospital deployed in the city of Sukhum (Republic of Abkhazia).
Currently, 42 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection are being treated in the hospital, all of them are citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia. They receive full treatment. Patients are brought in by ambulance from all regions of the republic. The decision on hospitalization and further treatment is made in agreement with the local medics.
Also, Russian military doctors on the territory of the hospital deployed in Sukhum are additionally conducting research on PCR diagnostics of analyzes delivered from the city's laboratories of the republic. In three days, more than 280 analyzes were processed, all research results are sent back to the laboratories of the republic, which significantly accelerates their receipt by the residents of the republic.
The military doctors of the mobile multidisciplinary hospital have at their disposal the most modern medical equipment - artificial lung ventilation devices, monitors for intensive observation of patients, X-ray machines, ultrasound machines, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.
Earlier, the personnel of a mobile multidisciplinary hospital of one of the units of the Southern Military District made a march on standard equipment about 800 kilometers long from the permanent deployment point in the Stavropol Territory to the city of Sukhum (Republic of Abkhazia) and began work.
The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation, at the request of the Republic of Abkhazia, will deploy a mobile multidisciplinary hospital with 100 beds in order to increase the bed capacity and provide medical care to patients with a confirmed diagnosis of a new coronavirus infection in the Republic of Abkhazia.
The mobile multidisciplinary hospital is a field medical unit based on pneumoframe structures and is intended for inpatient treatment of patients with a new coronavirus infection.
For carrying out medical and diagnostic measures, the hospital is equipped with artificial lung ventilation devices, intensive patient monitoring systems, x-ray machines, ultrasound machines, blood analyzers and a PCR laboratory.
As of October 25, this year, 42 patients with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 are being treated in a mobile multi-specialty hospital deployed by the Russian military on the territory of the "Aitar" hotel.
