Ships of the Black Sea Fleet will take part in the AMAN-2021 international exercise in the water area of the Pakistani port of Karachi

A planning conference on the participation of the Navy in the international exercise AMAN-2021, which will be held in February 2021 in the water area of the Pakistani port of Karachi, was held in Sevastopol online.

The initiators of practicing joint actions were the Naval Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, on whose territory an international exercise will take place.

More than 30 countries have confirmed their participation in the exercise, of which about 10 will use their naval personnel, and the rest will send official observers.

The Russian Navy will represent the forces of the Black Sea Fleet, including a frigate, a patrol ship, a rescue tug, a Marine Corps unit, a demining squad and a sea-based helicopter.

The goals of the AMAN-2021 exercise are to strengthen and develop military cooperation between the participating countries in the interests of security and stability at sea, as well as exchange of experience between naval sailors in repelling the threats of sea piracy in areas of intensive shipping.
