Russian Defenсe Minister checks the fulfillment of the state defence order by the Military-Industrial Corporation Mashinostroyenia
The Minister of Defenсe of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Sergei Shoigu, during a working trip to the Military-Industrial Corporation Mashinostroyenia in Reutov, Moscow Region, inspected the production base on the subject of work in the interests of the military department, as well as unique installations of the enterprise's bench base, which allow products for all kinds of tests, to achieve the highest level of their reliability.
The Minister of Defence also examined the ready-made mobile coastal missile system Bastion, the company's promising developments in the field of cruise missiles and strategic missile systems, an exhibition of rocket and space technology products developed at the plant for more than 75 years.
In addition, the head of the military department was shown a set of tests that allows simulating various flight conditions, including space vacuum and heating to temperatures above 2 thousand degrees Celsius, as well as the largest radio-measuring radiocollimator stand MAK-15 in Europe.
At the end of his work at the enterprise, Sergei Shoigu held a working meeting with the heads of a number of the largest corporations of the country's defence-industrial complex, representatives of various ministries and departments. The meeting discussed the development of long-range high-precision weapons, equipping the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the prospects for the purchase of hypersonic weapons.
“The development of long-range high-precision weapons and equipping the Armed Forces with them is under the special control of the President of Russia. In April it is necessary to report to the head of state on what is being done in this direction,” the Minister of Defence said.
According to the head of the military department, based on the calculations of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, together with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, work was organized on additional purchases of hypersonic and high-precision long-range weapons.
“Today we will discuss proposals for sources of financing, as well as the state of the industrial capacities of the industry to fulfill the task,” concluded Sergei Shoigu.
