Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh continue to work on humanitarian demining and monitoring of the situation in the area of responsibility
The Russian peacekeeping contingent in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh continues to carry out tasks for round-the-clock monitoring of the situation and monitoring compliance with the ceasefire regime.
Control by the military personnel of the peacekeeping unit is carried out at twenty-seven observation posts.
Russian peacekeepers ensure the safe movement of citizens and the restoration of civilian infrastructure. Special attention is paid to ensuring the safety of spring field work and the associated movement of agricultural machinery and cargo.
The clearing of farmland from explosive objects and unexploded ordnance is also continuing.
Engineering and sapper groups of the Center for Humanitarian Demining continue to work on the clearance of the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. During the day, 4 buildings were checked, 12 hectares of territory, 4 kilometers of roads were cleared, 11 explosive objects were found.
In total, since November 23, 2020, 1,912 hectares of territory, 587 km of roads, 1,662 housing structures, including 30 socially significant objects, have been cleared of unexploded ordnance, 25,415 explosive objects have been found and neutralized.
In order to coordinate efforts to prevent possible incidents in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, continuous cooperation is maintained with the general staffs of the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Armenia
