Russia and Uzbekistan have developed a strategic partnership program in the military sphere
Russian Defence Minister General of the Army Sergei Shoigu said that the defence departments of Russia and Uzbekistan have prepared a strategic partnership program in the military sphere for 2021-2025.
“Its implementation will make it possible to give the interaction a more systemic character, to bring it to a level corresponding to the spirit of our special relations. This is the first time such a document has been developed. I propose to approve it today,” Sergei Shoigu said at the talks with the Minister of Defence of Uzbekistan Bakhodir Kurbanov in Bukhara.
Shoigu invited his counterparts from Uzbekistan "to the landmark events of the Russian Ministry of Defense this year - the XIX Moscow Conference on International Security, the ARMY International Military and Technical Forum, International Army Games", which will be held virtually at the same time.
“We did this on purpose so that those who accept this equipment, acquire it, and operate it could see this technique in action at all our landfills. And the most important thing is to share the experience that the Russian Armed Forces have in the fight against terrorism today,” Shoigu said.
“I wish your teams to perform at the Games as successfully as at the previous competitions,” said the Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation.
