During the JSE Zapad-2021, for the first time, the Uran-9 and Nerekhta reconnaissance and fire support robots were used in combat formations

During the main stage of the joint strategic exercise Zapad-2021 in the Nizhny Novgorod region at the Mulino training ground, the reconnaissance and fire support robots "Uran-9" and "Nerekhta"were used for the first time in the combat formations of combined-arms units performing training tasks on defence.

Robotic reconnaissance and fire support systems "Uran-9" destroyed the manpower and armored vehicles of a mock enemy at a distance of 3 to 5 thousand meters with fire from the Ataka anti-tank missile systems installed on the combat module, PDM-A rocket-propelled infantry flamethrowers, 30-mm automatic cannons and PKTM machine guns.

For reconnaissance and fire support of advanced units, the Nerekhta combat robot was used with a 12.7-mm Kord machine gun and a 30-mm AG-30M grenade launcher.

The Nerekhta combat robot is designed to perform reconnaissance tasks, correct fire on enemy positions, and quickly deliver ammunition and equipment. Depending on the installed module, the robot can be used for various tasks.

The actions of the robotic complexes were provided by the tactical laser complex Karier, the capabilities of which allow detecting and suppressing optical means of reconnaissance and surveillance of tanks, other armored vehicles and small arms of the enemy.
