Russia will transfer aviation equipment to Mongolia and help in the modernization of airfield infrastructure

Russia plans to supply aviation equipment to the Armed Forces of Mongolia, as well as to help modernize the airfield infrastructure. This was stated on Tuesday by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov, during a meeting with the President of Mongolia Ukhnagiyn Khurelsuh.

"We give great value to bilateral contacts in the military-technical sphere. We continue to implement steps aimed at developing the Armed Forces of Mongolia. In particular, this is the modernization of the airfield infrastructure, the supply of aviation equipment, as well as the repair of armored vehicles," said the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.

He also noted the positive results of the 12th meeting of the joint working group on military-technical cooperation, held last week in St. Petersburg.

"We count on the support of our initiatives in international politics and intend to work fruitfully in all areas of military and military-technical cooperation," Valery Gerasimov said.

The meeting of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, General of the Army Valery Gerasimov, with the President of Mongolia Ukhnagiyn Khurelsuh took place as part of the official visit of the Russian military commander to Mongolia.
