The units of the armed forces of the Republic of Armenia from the collective peacekeeping forces of the CSTO, which performed tasks for the protection of socially significant objects in the Republic of Kazakhstan, arrived at the points of permanent deployment.
The personnel and equipment of the Armenian peacekeeping contingent were delivered home by three Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.

In accordance with the decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council adopted on January 6, 2022, collective peacekeeping forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization were sent to the Republic of Kazakhstan for a limited period of time to stabilize and normalize the situation.
They included units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kyrgyz Republic.
From the Russian Federation, subdivisions and military units of the Airborne Troops entered the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces.
