A welcoming ceremony was held at the Severny airfield for Russian paratroopers from the CSTO peacekeeping contingent that performed tasks in the Republic of Kazakhstan
At the Severny airfield (Ivanovo region) a welcoming ceremony was held for Russian paratroopers who performed assigned tasks as part of the collective peacekeeping forces of the CSTO in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the solemn event, the governor of the Ivanovo region Stanislav Voskresensky congratulated the command of the Ivanovo airborne unit on the successful completion of tasks and thanked the servicemen for the highest professionalism.
The meeting ceremony was also attended by family members of servicemen, representatives of the Union of Paratroopers, veterans of the airborne troops.
At the end of the solemn meeting, the personnel began to march to the point of permanent deployment.
On the previous day, the advance units of Russian paratroopers from the CSTO collective peacekeeping forces flew home after four Il-76 planes of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Force returned from the airfield of Almaty to the airfield of Severny.
The return of all peacekeepers to their permanent locations is scheduled to be completed by January 19.
