Statement of the Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine
The militants of the nationalist battalions with inhuman cruelty continue to implement the criminal plan approved by the Ukrainian authorities to destroy their own civilians.
Using mass media, Internet resources and social networks, official Kiev is actively misinforming residents of Ukraine about the current situation throughout the country.
Hiding facts about the catastrophic situation of civilians in populated areas, about the outrages of nationalists maddened by permissiveness, about the disruptions of evacuation to safe places due to the alleged non-compliance by the Russian side with the ceasefire, the Kiev authorities cynically destroy the people of Ukraine.
The ruthless and cold-blooded terror carried out by neo-Nazis crosses all the boundaries imaginable for a civilized society.
So, on March 22, 2022, militants of nationalist battalions in Sumy fired from an anti-tank grenade launcher, without any reason, at an ambulance en route to provide urgent assistance to wounded civilians. As a result of the criminal actions of the terrorists, four medical workers were killed on the spot.
The blatant case of mass extermination of civilians committed by Ukrainian radicals in Kharkov. Driven by inhuman conditions of existence to extreme exhaustion, Kharkov residents attempted to leave the basement to search for water and food. For this alleged "liberty" they were shot by nationalist fanatics right in the courtyard of their house.
In addition, along with the physical destruction of the population in Chernigov, Sumy and Zaporozhye, the commanders of nationalist battalions staged a massive robbery of residential buildings, public and private organizations. Captured special ambulances and mail vehicles are used to export material values towards the western borders of Ukraine.
In Zaporozhye, the work of public services is paralyzed. The militants are purposefully destroying life-support facilities, and emergency services and ambulance crews who arrived to rescue the victims and localize the consequences of the destruction are subjected to targeted shelling and liquidation.
All these and many other facts, which we declare daily, are confirmed by numerous eyewitness testimonies, they speak of unleashed and actually legitimized by official Kiev terror against its own citizens. This is a natural consequence of the irresponsible decisions taken by Kiev to preserve its criminal power by any means, including by turning the country into a "hotbed" of nationalism and terrorism.
Despite all the outrages of the brutal nationalists, destructive and irresponsible decisions of the Kiev authorities against their own people, the Russian Federation continues, without the participation of the Ukrainian side, to carry out a set of measures to evacuate civilians and foreigners to safe areas.
Today from 10 a.m. the Russian Federation has already provided humanitarian corridors for the eighteenth time in Kiev, Chernigov, Sumy and Kharkov directions, along one humanitarian corridor to the Russian Federation, and one more through the territories controlled by the Kiev authorities towards the western borders of Ukraine.
Of the routes we have proposed for the current day, official Kiev has once again cynically not agreed on a single humanitarian corridor.
At the same time, the Ukrainian side announced 14 additional routes in Kiev, Donetsk and Lugansk directions.
Guided by purely humane principles, despite the cynicism of the Kiev authorities towards their citizens, who categorically do not allow any attempts to evacuate to the Russian Federation, and solely to save the lives of civilians in all possible ways, we agreed to all the proposals of the Ukrainian side without any conditions.
Currently, the Russian Armed Forces strictly observe the ceasefire on all routes, including those declared by the Ukrainian side.
Despite all the difficulties and obstacles imposed by the Ukrainian side, over the past day, without the participation of Kiev, 17,929 people were evacuated from dangerous areas, 3,708 of them children, and in total, since the beginning of the special military operation, 384,111 people have already been evacuated, of which 80,770 are children.
The state border of the Russian Federation was crossed by 45,670 vehicles, of which 2,383 per day.
On March 23, 2022, 8,487 people were evacuated from Mariupol, also without any participation of the Ukrainian side, a total of 81,958 people have already been rescued from the lawlessness organized by nationalists.
In addition, as a result of a targeted humanitarian operation, 26 foreign citizens (Vietnam and Jordan) were evacuated from Mariupol.
Despite the humanitarian corridors opening daily, Ukrainian nationalists continue to hold more than 4,500,000 civilians as a "human shield" in Kiev, Kharkov, Chernigov, Sumy and more than 20 other blocked large settlements.
A significant part of the population forcibly held by radicals in Ukrainian cities is still looking for any opportunities to evacuate to the territory of Russia, as evidenced by numerous appeals of citizens to Joint Coordination Headquarters of the Russian Federation for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine official structures, public organizations, directly to the subjects of our country, to relatives and friends, as well as acquaintances living in the Russian Federation.
According to the results of daily monitoring, it was found that only over the past day another 2,367 such appeals were received, and in total there are already 2,722,033 in our database with specific surnames and addresses from 2,095 settlements of Ukraine.
6,862 citizens from 25 foreign continue to be held hostage by the militants of the territorial defence battalions.
The Russian Federation continues to fulfill all its humanitarian obligations. All the necessary conditions for a peaceful and safe life are being created in the liberated territories.
More than 9,500 temporary accommodation centres continue to operate in the regions of the Russian Federation. A sufficient number of motor vehicles, including comfortable buses, are located at the checkpoints to take refugees to their chosen places of residence or to temporary accommodation facilities where medical care and hot meals are organized.
Federal executive authorities together with the subjects of Russia, various public organizations, patriotic movements have prepared more than 16.5 thousand tons of humanitarian aid.
More than 21,8 tons of basic necessities, food and medicines have been prepared at the collection points.
Since March 2, 4,554 tons of humanitarian cargo have already been delivered to Ukraine, 561 humanitarian actions have been carried out, including 22 actions in Kiev, Kharkov, Sumy, Chernigov, Zaporozhye, Kherson and Nikolaev regions, as well as in Donetsk and Lugansk people's republics, during which 209 tons of basic necessities, medicines and food were transferred to the civilian population of the liberated areas.
Today, 57 humanitarian actions are being held in Kiev, Sumy, Kharkov, Kherson regions and republics of Donbass, as well as in the liberated settlements of Ukraine, within the framework of which 519 tons of basic necessities and food packages, including baby food and vital medicines, are being transferred to the population.
